Occasionally, you may receive harassing text messages on your iPhone. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't offer a way for you to stop these text messages with the standard iPhone -- but some mobile companies do. If not then you'll have to jailbreak your iPhone and download a third-party application that's capable of blocking text messages. When you jailbreak your iPhone, essentially you give yourself access to the file system that your iPhone runs on, allowing you to install programs and alter it.

Download iBlackList from iBlackList.com.br onto your iPhone. The program allows you to create a blacklist, and any number on that blacklist is prevented from contacting you, either through phone calls or text messages. The program stores blocked text messages so that you can review them. At the time of publication, iBlackList costs £7.80.
Go to MyMessages.Wireless.ATT.com, and go to your "Blocking Options." Choose to block all texts that are sent to your iPhone through your AT&T e-mail address. This prevents e-mails from being sent to your phone as SMS messages -- which can be a problem, particularly with spammers.
Call your mobile phone company provide. Once you've reached a customer service representative, you can ask him to stop both incoming and outgoing SMS messages from your iPhone. Should you want to text in the future, you'll need to phone again and ask a representative to reactivate the texting feature.
