How to Install a Language ISO in Rosetta Stone

Updated July 19, 2017

An ISO file contains the language pack files used in the Rosetta Stone language learning software. Rosetta Stone is the main application you use to learn a language. You buy the languages separately and install them into the software. You must then update the software to include the new language in the list of available learning modules. This process is completed in the Rosetta Stone update utility.

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Click "Uninstall Program" in the list of links. A list of applications is displayed. Click the "Rosetta Stone" software icon, then click "Update."

Double-click the ISO file on your computer. The ISO software automatically loads and mounts the CD image, so Rosetta Stone can install the language pack.

Click the "Update Now" button in the first window. In the list of options, click the "Install a language level." Click the "Browse" button and select the drive letter of the ISO file mounted in the previous step. Click "OK."

Select the language you want to install from the ISO, then click "Install Selected Language." The new language installs from the ISO file. Click the "Accept" button at the end of the installation to accept the license agreement and close the installation window.
