Connecting your Acer Aspire 5732Z lets you expand your digital workspace and gives you a bigger screen to work on. After connecting your laptop to your Vizio TV, you can use the Windows Extended Display program to mirror your display on both screens, use one screen as an extended display so you can work on or view different files on different screens, or you can view your display solely on your laptop or on your Vizio TV. Connecting your Acer Aspire 5732Z laptop to your Vizio TV only takes a few minutes.

  1. 1

Connect one end of a VGA cable to the VGA output on the left side of your Acer Aspire 5732Z. The VGA output is the third input/output down from the back-left corner. Screw in the pins that connect the connector to the laptop. If your VGA cable has a small cable extending from it, the cable also supports the transfer of audio. You can plug the cable into the "Line Out" output, which is the input/output closest to the front of the laptop along the left edge.

  2. 2

Connect the other end of the VGA cable to the larger input beneath RGB PC in the lower-left corner on the back of your Vizio TV. Screw in the connecting pins that fasten the connector to the TV. If you connected the VGA audio transfer cable to the "Line Out" output on the laptop, plug the cable extending from the VGA connector you connected to the Vizio TV to the smaller input beneath RGB PC.

  3. 3

Turn on the Vizio TV and then turn on the Acer Aspire 5732Z laptop.

  4. 4

Press the "Input" button on the Vizio remote. Press the arrow keys on the remote to highlight "RGB" and then press the "Play/Pause" button. The display for your Acer laptop now appears on the Vizio TV.

  5. 5

Press the "Exit" button on the remote to save your changes.
