How to Connect My Bose to a Samsung TV

Updated February 21, 2017

Bose is a leading audio equipment provider. The company produces high-end electronic equipment designed to enhance your home audio experience. When connecting a Bose receiver to your Samsung television, you have two different connection options. One is HDMI, which provides high-definition audio signals; the other, which is used on standard-definition televisions, is a digital optical audio cable.

Determine what audio cable connection is available on your Samsung TV. If the television is a high-definition set, you will have an HDMI hookup. If the TV is standard definition, you'll have the digital optical audio connection.

Plug the HDMI cable into one of the "HDMI Out" ports on the Samsung TV. If using the digital optical audio cable, plug the cable into the "Digital Out" port on the Samsung TV.

Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into one of the "HDMI In" ports on the Bose surround-sound receiver. Connect the digital optical audio cable to the "Digital In" port on the Samsung TV, if it uses this connection option.

Power on the Bose receiver and the Samsung television. Select either "HDMI" or "Digital Audio" and the audio from the Samsung television begins to play on the TV.
