The Samsung SGH-E530 was a GSM mobile phone sold overseas. It was never officially available from T-Mobile or AT&T, but T-Mobile allows unlocked phones on its network. If you have an E530 and a data cable, you can use the phone to connect to the Internet, transfer wallpapers and ring tones or synchronise the phone book using software available from Samsung's Web page.

Open the Samsung Global Download site on your computer. You can find the link under Resources.
Select "Mobile Phone" under "Category." Select "GSM (3)" under "Sub-Category," and "SGH-E530" under "Model Code." Then click the "Find It" button.
Click the "Software" tab. Download and install the USB driver, along with the software for the function you want to perform. Samsung PC Studio PIMS/File Manager is for synchronising contacts, while Samsung PC Studio Internet Access is for using the phone as a modem.
Plug the data cable into the charging port on the bottom edge of the E530.
Plug the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer.
