How to Get a Soda Fountain

Updated February 21, 2017

A restaurant-style soda fountain in your home will provide fresh carbonated soda pop to your guests and family. A number of soda fountain retailers sell and install their products. You can also locate new or used fountains through online sites such as eBay or Craigslist. To maintain a soda fountain, you will need to have a carbonation and syrup supplier, such as PepsiCo or Coca-Cola.

Decide if you want to purchase a new or used soda fountain. If you want a new fountain, locate a soda fountain retailer or restaurant supply store such as the Soda Bar System (see Reference 2). If you want a used one, visit eBay or Craigslist to search for a fountain.

Call a local branch of a soda pop company such as PepsiCo or Coca-Cola to purchase a fountain or get a referral to another retailer.

Ask the seller for the serial number on the machine before purchasing one. Check the serial number with its parent company to ensure the machine can be legally purchased. Purchase the machine. Have it shipped to you or delivered with installation, if you choose not to install it yourself.

Set up a syrup and carbonation order with a soda company once you have installed your fountain.

Call restaurants in your area that are going out of business to see if they are selling their soda fountain.
