How to Convert a Cable Signal to RF

Use an RF modulator to convert the signal from a cable box's AV outputs to a format that is compatible with your TV's RF or coaxial input. RF modulators are a necessity to connect your TV if your TV does not feature AV inputs. Install the RF modulator in between the cable box and the TV in order to convert the signal for your TV.

Instructions

    Insert the AV component cables into the red, yellow and white component ports on the side of the RF modulator.

  2. 2

    Connect the coaxial cable to the RF output on the modulator and fasten the other end to the threaded RF jack on the TV or other device.

  3. 3

    Plug the RF modulator's power adaptor into a wall socket. The RF modulator will automatically begin converting the signal from your cable box to a format that is compatible with RF inputs.
