One of the most recognisable characters from Nintendo's games is Link from "The Legend of Zelda" series. Young Link, for example, is seen in the "Ocarina of Time." As a young boy, Link's outfit is similar to that of adult Link, wearing a green tunic and brown boots. Although you could purchase a premade costume, making your own for a costume party or Cosplay requires just a little time and effort.

Instructions

  1. 1

Make a 4- to 5-inch cut down the centre of a green T-shirt. The cut should start at the front centre of the collar. Fold the cut edges back at a diagonal and sew them in place using needle and thread. When choosing a shirt, choose one that is two to three sizes larger than you normally wear. This will be the tunic for your costume.

  2. 2

Wear a pair of white tights and white long-sleeve turtleneck. Put on the green shirt. Wear a brown belt around your waist to cinch the shirt. Wear a second belt that is 4 inches wide from your shoulder to your waist.

  3. 3

Cut the fingers and thumbs of a pair of chocolate brown suede gloves. Put on the gloves and a pair of chocolate brown suede boots that are calf-high.

  4. 4

Measure your forehead. Divide the measurement by two and add 1 inch to it. Cut out a piece of green fabric in the length of this measurement and 36 inches in width. Tie this piece of fabric around your head like you would a bandanna, letting the back part hang down, to create the hat.

  5. 5

Apply elf ears to your own ears using spirit gum. Use the brush that comes with the gum to apply a thin layer on your ears. Then place the fake ears on top.

Tips and warnings

  • If you want to carry accessories, carry an ocarina, bottles for potions or a sword and shield.
