If you have an Okidata C9800 Laser Printer and use refilled toner drum cartridges, you might have noticed that the machine produces random print errors, reports that the drum is out of toner, or sometimes stops in the middle of printing due to low-toner warning messages. This happens because the microchip does not reset whenever you refill the cartridge drum with toner.
If you want to reset the drum count so that the warning messages will not display and halt print jobs, you must use a manual reset method to override the cartridge drum's built-in microchip.
