Updated April 17, 2017

Tumi is a manufacturer of luxury luggage that prized for its durability and high quality of materials. Most Tumi luggage is equipped with a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) lock. TSA locks are special locks that can be easily opened by TSA personnel using secret access codes. If your checked bag is flagged for inspection, TSA agents use the access codes to inspect the bag, then relock it without damaging your lock. By setting up your own TSA lock combination, you can be confident that your possessions cannot be stolen or mishandled by unauthorised airline staff.

Change the combination from the preset number 0-0-0 by pressing down the button on the bottom on the lock.

Keep pressing the button while turning the three combination lock dials to your new combination. Make sure that you align the numbers with the grid lines on the middle of the lock. If the any of the numbers are offset, your new combination will not be registered.

Set the combination by releasing the bottom button.

Don't forget your combination. After setting the lock, write down the combination and keep it in a secure place.
