How to Disable an A4 Alarm

Updated April 17, 2017

Installing an alarm, such as an A4 alarm, in your automobile is a good way to protect your vehicle. Of course if the alarm is accidentally triggered you are going to need to disable it. Performing this procedure doesn't require much knowledge of electronics and can be completed quickly.

Take your A4 remote in hand and walk near to your automobile. Make sure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the automobile.

Locate the "Arm/Disarm" button. This is the button with an icon of two padlocks, one locked and the other unlocked.

Press the "Arm/Disarm" button and the indicator lights will flash two times and the alarm siren will chirp twice.

Wait until the alarm LED light on the dash goes out. This signifies that the alarm is completely disabled.

Contact your A4 service centre if you lose your remote control.
