Open your Web browser and click the down-facing arrow on the far right side of the Ask.com toolbar, next to the word "Options."
Click "Uninstall." A "Windows Installer" window appears and displays the message, "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?"
Click "Yes." A new window appears asking you to close the browser.
Close the Web browser, and then click "OK." After a few moments, Windows completes the removal of the Ask.com toolbar and returns to the desktop.
Restart the computer before using the Web browser again.
Tips and warnings
- If you prefer to remove the Ask.com toolbar using built-in Windows functions, open the Control Panel and launch the "Add or Remove Programs," "Programs and Features" or "Uninstall a Program" icon, depending on which version of Windows is on your computer.
