Lexmark produces multifunctional laser and inkjet printers that are key components of many offices. Provide regular maintenance to create the best possible conditions for your Lexmark printer. The smart chip inside the Lexmark printer notifies you when the ink levels are low. As a part of the routine maintenance for the Lexmark printer, you should replace or refill the ink cartridges. After replacing the ink cartridges, reset the smart chip. The resetting process allows the chip to update its information and register that the cartridge is once again full.
