How to Troubleshoot the Nespresso Lattissima

Updated November 21, 2016

The Nespresso Lattissima is an espresso machine that is meant for use in a home or business setting and offers a removable milk container that can be stored in the refrigerator, an automatic rinsing function, a 1 or 2 litre water tank and a compact size meant for small spaces or countertop use. The Nespresso Lattissima espresso machine should work well with proper maintenance and care, but if problems do occur during use, standard troubleshooting may be beneficial in resolving the problem.

Ensure the espresso machine is turned on and is firmly connected to a power supply if the machine does not turn on.

Rinse coffee cups with hot water prior to use from the sink or the espresso machine if the coffee does not seem hot enough.

Remove the capsule holder from the front of the machine and rinse with warm water if the coffee is not dispensing properly or is leaking. Return the capsule holder to the unit and make sure the holder is fitted securely on to the machine.

Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water if there is no water flow from the machine.

Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe the milk frothing device and check for possible obstructions if the milk is not frothing when exiting the steam arm.
