How to Program NB662 Remote Controls

Updated February 21, 2017

The Magnavox NB662 remote is one of the many universal remotes offered by Magnavox that can be programmed to a variety of devices around your living room. These remotes can be used to control your television, DVD player, VCR, cable input or stereo and allow you to switch from one component to the next almost seamlessly. Programming of the remote can be completed in just seconds.

Turn on the device manually that you would like to sync to your remote.

Point your remote at the device and press and hold the "Set" button on the remote.

Press the button on your remote for the device that you are programming, while still holding the "Set" button.

Hold both buttons together for two seconds and release.

Enter the four-digit code for the device that you are programming. The codes, determined by brand, can be found in the remote's User's Manual. The codes are also available online. (See References)

Press the "Set" button on your remote after the four-digit code, wait for the LED light on the remote to flash and the remote will be programmed to your component and ready for use.
