In 2003, IBM released the T41 model line of its ThinkPad brand of personal laptop computers. Standard features included a 14.1 inch or 15.1 inch TFT-LCD display, Pentium M processor rated from 1.4 GHz to 1.7 GHz and a DVD/CD drive or a rewritable DVD/CD drive. Optional features included two different graphics cards and a choice between the Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating systems. The standard six-cell lithium ion battery could provide power for up to four hours of continuous use. IBM configured the T41 to run a number of functions from "hotkeys."
