The DKNY brand portrays the modern and fast spirit of New York according to Donna Karan, the creator of the fashion label. If your DKNY watch stops working, first check whether it is a minor problem you can rectify yourself, because watch repairs are costly. In many cases, the problem may just be a rundown battery. For more serious issues, all the products of the DKNY brand are sold "satisfaction guaranteed," so you might even be able to get a replacement.

  1. 1

Check if your watch is still on warranty. If it is, do not attempt any repairs by yourself. Go through the warranty papers to check if you are eligible for a replacement. If you bought the watch online, you can get it replaced through the online DKNY store. You will have to send it with return shipping charges prepaid. If you bought it through a store, it will have to be returned to the same store. The list of service centres or the contact telephone number for customer care will be available with the papers you got with the watch.

  2. 2

Replace the battery. In many cases there may not be any problem with the watch mechanisms, but the battery may have run down. Prise open the cover of the battery compartment with the tip of a screwdriver. Take out the old battery. Place the new cell in its place. Put the cover back. Check if the watch is working.

  3. 3

Check if any of the hands are broken or stuck. If the watch is ticking but the hands are not moving, it may be because of a stuck gear. If your watch is still on warranty, you can get it repaired free of cost.

Tips and warnings

  • If you bought the watch online from or you can send it back within 30 days for a full refund. You will have to pay the shipping cost. The original packaging, tags and invoices must be included.
