How to Make a BlackBerry Curve on O2 Ring Longer Before Going to Voicemail

Updated February 21, 2017

You may have noticed that your BlackBerry Curve only rings a few times then goes straight to voicemail. Not only is this annoying for those who are trying to get a hold of you, but you may find yourself (literally) sprinting to your phone to answer it in time. There are two easy options that can make your Curve ring longer. The first option is to call your phone service provider and ask for an extension. However, if you don't feel like waiting on hold for several minutes, you can adjust the ring time yourself.

Click "Profiles" from the Home screen on your Curve.

Click "Advanced" Highlight the ringing option that you typically use like "Normal," "Loud" or "Phone Only."

Press the "Menu" button on your phone to open the ringing options. Select "Edit."

Click "Phone." Adjust your settings to lengthen the ring/vibrating time of your phone. You can also increase the volume of the ringing, as well.

Press the "Back Arrow" button and click "Save."
