How to Install the Dell A225 Speakers

Updated July 19, 2017

The Dell A225 is a set of small desktop speakers for computers. Unlike many computer speakers that receive power from batteries or a wall outlet, the Dell A225 speakers receive power directly from the computer, reducing cable clutter and waste. If you have selected the Dell A225 speakers for your computer set-up, installing the speakers is simply a matter of connecting a few cables.

Place the Dell A225 speakers on either side of your laptop or computer monitor. Make sure that the speaker marked "R" on the back is on your right side.

Connect the audio cable coming from the right speaker to the audio output jack on your computer. Some audio jacks are colour-coded. If the audio jacks on your computer are, connect the speakers to the green jack.

Connect the USB cable---also coming from the right speaker---to an open USB port on the computer. If you are using a desktop computer, connect the cable to a port on the back of the computer.

Turn the volume knob on the front of the right speaker clockwise to turn the speakers on and adjust the volume. A light on the front of the speaker indicates that the power is on.
