How do I Check the Ink Level for an HP Deskjet F300 Series?

Updated March 23, 2017

You do not want to run out of ink in the middle of an important project. To help you monitor how much ink you have left, HP bundled an ink monitoring feature along with its basic printer drivers and tools. With these tools, you can keep tabs on ink levels in the HP Desktop F300 series printers, and purchase replacements before running out unexpectedly.

Click the "Start" button, "Programs," "HP" and then "HP Solution Center."

Click "Settings," and select "Printer Toolbox."

Click the "Device Services" tab.

Click the "Estimated Ink Levels" sub-tab. Your estimated remaining ink levels are graphically displayed on this tab.

Hold "Ctrl" and press "P" in any software program that supports print capabilities.

Click "Properties" in the "Print" window.

Click the "Services" tab.

Click the "Service This Device" icon, which looks like three vertical bars.

Click the "Estimated Ink Levels" tab. The estimated remaining ink levels are graphically displayed.
