Princess Toddler Bed Instructions

Updated February 21, 2017

Moving from a crib to a big girl bed is a huge step for your little one. When making the transition, take steps to ensure that it goes as smoothly as possible. Taking elements from her crib and bringing them into the toddler bed is a great way to start the process. You can also make the toddler bed a special place for your child. If she loves princesses, consider transforming her bed into one fit for a princess.

Choose the furniture you want, or what your princess wants, for the room. White furniture is most common in little girls' rooms, especially when you create a princess room because it allows the colours to pop. You can also choose mahogany or dark cherry wood for a rich, luxurious look.

Pick out the bedding. Ask your daughter which princess she likes the best, and then purchase bedding sets that have that princess displayed on them. Make sure you have the comforter, sheets, pillows, pillow cases, dust ruffle, and shams. You can add other solid coloured pillows for accent that go along with the princess colour scheme. Also make sure the fabrics are soft and plush for ultimate comfort.

Pick out the accessories for the bed. You can lay princess dolls, stuffed animals, even princess accessories such as a crown and wand on the bed. You can also add extra detailing by wrapping lace and ribbons around the bedposts or headboard.
