How to Send a Private SMS

Updated March 23, 2017

Anonymous or private text messaging can be useful in many situations. You could be looking to tell someone how you feel about him, but you're shy at disclosing your identity. You can also send private SMS to inform authorities about any illegal activities going on or perhaps inform the tax offices about tax cheaters.

Go to the website (see Resources) and click on "Register." You will have to provide your name, e-mail address, country and phone number to complete the registration. After you submit the form, Sneak SMS will SMS you an activation code, which you have to enter into the website to become a confirmed registered member.

Add funds to your Sneak SMS account using your PayPal account or credit card. Sneak SMS will show you the SMS rate according to your location. You can then decide how much money you want to add to the account as per your requirement.

Compose the SMS on the website, and specify the sender (perhaps a nickname). You can leave the field blank if necessary.

Provide the recipient's cell phone number and send the SMS. The SMS will be delivered within seconds.

Go to the website Send Anonymous SMS (see Resources).

Enter your cell phone number in the field "SMS Sender's phone Number." Your phone number will not be revealed to the recipient.

Select the recipient's country from the drop-down list.

Enter the recipient's number in the respective field. Type the message you want to send in the text box. You are allowed 145 characters per SMS.

Type in the security code as you see in the image, and click "Send SMS!"

The regular SMS charges by your carrier will apply on this SMS.

Go to the website Arm SMS (see Resources) and click on "Join Now for Free." You will have to provide your e-mail address, postal address, name and other required details. Arm SMS will then e-mail you the activation link, and will let you send private SMS after you click this link.

Specify a "Sender" name on the "Send SMS" page. You can choose to leave the field blank if you want.

Enter the recipient's cell phone number and write the message in the message box. You can type up to 160 characters.

Check the box next to "I agree to Terms of Use," and click "Send SMS."

Websites that allow anonymous text messaging record your IP address in their database. If you use the service for any illegal activities (including abuse, death threats or slander), the website will publish your IP address and you will be banned forever.
