When you refill the ink cartridges in your Canon MX310 instead of purchasing new cartridges to replace the old ones, you may need to force a reset for the ink monitoring system in order to continue printing. The printer has a built-in system reset to clear the ink level indicators and recognise the cartridges as replacements. Once the system is reset, the ink levels will be accurate.
