Homemade Lint Remover
Instead of purchasing a lint roller, you can make your own. (lint roller image by tamdesigns from Fotolia.com)

When your clothes dryer does not effectively remove the lint from your clothes, it may be difficult to extract the lint, particularly if clothing is directly out of the dryer. If you do not have a lint brush, or if you want to have a way to remove lint without purchasing a lint brush, you can make one yourself with an acrylic brush roller and packaging tape.

Skill level:

Things you need

  • Packaging tape
  • Small acrylic brush roller

  1. 1

Cut off a piece of packaging tape long enough to wrap around the roller once.

  2. 2

Wrap the packaging tape around the roller tightly.

  3. 3

Place the tape on the roller with the smooth side touching the roller and the sticky side outward.

  4. 4

Attach the tape onto itself once you wrap it around the roller. Ensure that you wrap it tightly to keep it secured to the roller.

  5. 5

Roll the homemade lint remover brush up and down your clothing. Replace the tape when it no longer removes lint.
