Combination padlocks are locks that open with a code. Some padlocks come without a code, so you can set your own, while others come with a default code. It is recommended to change your code several times while using a padlock to better secure your items. If you are ready to change your padlock's code, whether it came with a default code or not, all you need is the current code.
