Whether you have a small or large lawn to trim, using straps will put less strain on your back. These shoulder straps will also take the strain off of your arms and distribute the weight across your shoulders. Most Ryobi trimmers come with attachment straps, but you can also purchase them from any Ryobi dealer or lawn care store.

    Unroll the strap and lay it out flat. Thread the end of the strap through the middle hole on the buckle.

    Pull the strap over the cross bar and thread it through the top slot on the buckle. Pull it to close the loop.

    Attach the clip to the support fitting on the trimmer pole. The support fitting is located just in front of the throttle.

    Pull the strap over your shoulders. Adjust the length of the strap so the trimmer is comfortably resting at waist level. Pull the strap to shorten the length or pull the side tab to increase it.
