If you've fallen for a guy and you think that he likes you, you might be wondering how to get him to ask you out. Some guys are shy and want to know that they will get a "yes" before they even ask a girl out on a date. If you want him to step up and ask you out, there are a few easy ways to let him know that the answer will be "yes."

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Plan a time that the two of you can be alone for a few minutes. It is unlikely that he will ask you out in front of other people, so giving him some time alone with you might just provide him with the opportunity he wants.

  2. 2

Let him know you like him by using body language. When he is talking to you, look him right in the eyes. Lean into him a little bit when you are standing near him. Don't cross your arms in front of him when you are talking. This makes you seem standoffish.

  3. 3

Take an interest in his activities. If he is on the basketball team, go and watch him practice or attend a game. Make sure that he knows you are there to see him. Wave and smile, but don't try to dominate his time while he is busy with practice.

  4. 4

Ask him for help with a task that needs to be done, such as a school project or making a repair around the house. This is a great way to ask him to spend time with you without asking him out on a date. You will get to know each other better during the time you spend accomplishing the task.

  5. 5

Ask him out. If all else fails, it might be up to you to take the plunge. Go ahead and ask him out for ice cream or a movie.
