The Kodak EasyShare All-in-One 5100 printer is a combination printer, scanner and photo copier. It uses two ink cartridges with a combined six colours to print up to 32 pages per minute. Kodak lists a few issues related to the printer's printhead in its support pages.

Error 3513

The EasyShare All-in-One 5100 occasionally may display an error code 3513: "Printhead is missing, not installed correctly, or has come loose." It's necessary to remove and reattach the printhead (which may have been bumped loose during routine use) to ensure that the contacts are aligned correctly. Turn off and unplug your printer, and open the front panel, then remove the ink cartridges. Press the button on the upper-left hand corner of the printhead to unlatch it, then pull it out of the printer. Reinsert the printhead, pushing until it clicks into place. Replace the ink cartridges and turn the printer back on.

Error 3525

This printer model has a similar error (code 3525): "Printhead carriage jam." Follow the steps to troubleshoot Error 3513, removing and reinserting the printhead, to clear any jams.

In the event that either of the aforementioned error codes persist after reinserting the printhead, Kodak recommends updating the printer's firmware. The firmware is available for free from the manufacturer's website (see Resources).
