Many women like to wear hair extensions in their hair to add volume and length to any hair style. There are many different hair extensions that you can choose from and different ways you can wear the extensions. The extensions can be real human hair or synthetic, and they can be sewn, bonded, glued or clipped to your real hair. Regardless of what kind of extensions you have or how you wear them, they need to be cleaned and moisturised to last as long as possible. For optimal care of your extensions, use a baby shampoo and conditioner.

Comb through your hair and hair extensions gently. If you have clip-in hair extensions, remove them first before you comb them through.

Soak your hair extensions in cool water. Especially with synthetic hair, you do not want to wash your hair in hot water--it can cause damage to the extensions.

Apply a quarter-sized amount of baby shampoo to your hair and extensions. Gently rub the shampoo into the hair.

Rinse the shampoo out of your hair using cool water.

Apply a quarter-sized amount of baby conditioner to your hair and extensions. Leave the conditioner in for about five minutes to further condition the extensions. Conditioning your extensions is important to keeping them soft and life-like.
