Hi, this is Jason Morgan, Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, we're going to talk about how you can use protein shakes to lose weight. First and foremost, we want to make sure that our diet is bottom. We got a sound shopping list, that we've got fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meats in our coverage. We've eliminated all of the junk foods. Secondly, we want to pick a quality protein supplement, whether it'd be a white protein isolate, a meal replacement or otherwise, make sure you're dealing with a reputable company. Third, we want to make sure that we determine what our protein requirements are. That way, you know exactly how much protein to put in your protein shake to make your daily requirements. And last but not least, we want to make sure we have a sound exercise program to contribute to that weight loss. So, when you're dealing with protein shakes to help lose weight, first thing that you have to do is make sure your diet is bottom. If you're not eating the fresh fruits, fresh, fresh vegetables, the lean meats, fish, things of that nature, there's no sense in supplementing. Now, if you're not losing weight and you're eating these things in the proper quantity, one of the things that you can do to help cut a few more calories is replacing one or two meals a day using a protein supplementation. It could be a meal replacement, it could be a white protein isolate with a little bit of fruit mixed into make a smoothie, various things. You want to make sure that you're using a good quality white protein. Make sure they're natural in content and in that way, it's high; use a reputable company. So we've got our diet in order. We set our kitchen up for success, we've gotten rid of all the junk food. We're right on; eating our fresh fruits, our fresh vegetables. We're eating our lean proteins. We're eating every couple of hours, no more than four hours out before eating another meal. But, we still just can't seem to lose those extra few pounds. What we're going to do now is we're going to cut a few of those calories out by supplementing with some protein shakes. What we first want to determine, what our protein requirement for the day is. We're going to take that protein supplement that we bought, the quality protein supplement and actually determine the amount of protein you need to add to your shake and you've decided whether or not you're going to put some fresh fruit, maybe some milk into your shake and you've determine your correct requirements for the shake. What you want to do is take that scoop, level off your, your scoop, get to determine the amount of protein, add your fresh fruits and vegetables into your blender. Whip it up, set back, relax and enjoy. An extra little tip to remember is many times protein shakes are best consumed just before or just after exercise.
