How to Remove Seats From a BMW Z3

The BMW Z3 Roadster is a two-seat vehicle with tons of horsepower. You can remove the seats from the BMW Z3 and upgrade them with racing seats or a customised leather seat.

  1. Open the door of the BMW Z3 and move the seat as far forward as possible using the electronic controls. This will give you access to the rear seat frame bolts.

  2. Remove the seat frame rear bolts with a socket and ratchet.

  3. Move the seat as far back as possible using the electronic controls. This will expose the seat frame front bolts.

  4. Remove the seat frame front bolts with a socket and ratchet.

  5. Lift the seat up and tilt it on its side so you can see the bottom of the seat.

  6. Locate the wiring harness mounted under the seat cushion and disconnect it.

  7. Pull the seat out of the BMW Z3.
