How to Import Dates From Word Into Outlook Calendar

If you have a series of dates stored in a Microsoft Word text file, you may want to add that information to your Outlook calendar. Microsoft Word files are not natively compatible with Outlook, however, so you will need to open the file with the dates in Excel before you can import them into your Outlook calendar. After the import is finished, you can add event details to each of the dates.

  1. Open the Word file with dates in the Microsoft Excel program.

  2. Save the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet as a comma separated value file, or CSV file.

  3. Open Outlook, go to the "File" menu at the top of the window and choose the "Import and Export" option.
