"I'm Dr. Joe Neely, and I practice with the Barton Oaks Dental Group. I want to discuss who should get a partial denture prosthesis. Obviously, someone who's missing some teeth. And teeth that are necessary to function properly, both from the patient's comfort and for the effectiveness of stability of the jaw, and adequate tooth structure to actually masticate to chew the food. The other reasons for getting prosthesis would be aesthetic, social need based. And so, if you are missing teeth that are making it hard for you to eat, failing to support your other teeth and jaw, or creating a unsightly aesthetics, than a partial denture prosthesis would be one of your options. You would also have options of fixed prosthesis and implant supported restorations."
