Honda is a Japanese power equipment, motorsport and automotive company that produces everything from cars to all terrain vehicles and small engines. Small Honda engines--in particular, the 160 cubic centimetre model--are employed by a handful of companies to power walk-behind lawnmowers. The Honda itself manufactures a line of such products powered by just these motors. Other companies that use Honda engines in lawnmower models include Craftsman and Husqvarna.

Honda produces four series of walk-behind lawnmowers powered by the company's engines. These series are the HRX, HRR, HRS, and HRC lines. HRX mowers are self-propelled mid-size home use units with variable speed settings. Models in the HRR line are simplified machines similar to the HRX mowers. HRS mowers are bare bones units without additional features or grass bags. The HRC series is a commercial product line that is equipped with a more powerful engine than other mower models. Units in the HRS line include a front bumper, large grass bag and heavy duty handles.

Craftsman produces one mower model outfitted with a Honda 160 cubic centimetre engine. The model is laboriously entitled Craftsman 160cc 22-inch Honda Rear Bag Rear High Wheels Front Propelled Lawn Mower. Nearly everything the machine does is listed its name. It is equipped with a 22-inch cut deck and rear grass bag. Craftsman's Honda-powered mower comes with a two-year warranty and is capable of mulching materials that are passed through its blades. It is a self-propelled mower with 12-inch rear tires. According to the official product description, the Honda engine "will give you a well-recognised name of quality and performance." Whether or not the engine will perform as well as it is recognised is unclear.

Husqvarna produces four 3-in-1 walk-behind mowers powered by Honda 160 cubic centimetre engines, one 3-in-1 powered by a 190cc Honda engine, and one hovering trimmer outfitted a 135cc Honda engine. A 3-in-1 mower is one capable of cutting, mulching, and bagging materials with zero effort required from the mower's user. The five Husqvarna models equipped with Honda engines are the 7021RC (190cc), 7021RH, 7021RB, 7021R, and 7021P. The HVTV52 hovering trimmer is a hovering mower designed for hillsides, water sheds and other areas traditional mowers can't reach. It floats on a self-produced cushion of air and looks as though it belongs in an episode of "The Jetsons."
