Troy-Bilt builds several types of riding lawnmowers. The two main types of riding lawnmower styles are regular tractor style riding mowers and zero turn lawnmowers. The traditional riding lawnmower is good for mowing on hills and towing trailers. The zero turn lawnmower has a tighter turning radius and can reduce mowing times.

Tuffy Lawn Tractor

The Tuffy Lawn Tractor is a traditional style lawnmower. It features a 38-inch mowing deck. A 17-horsepower Kohler Courage Engine powers the lawnmower. The transmission features seven speeds and is manually shifted. The mowing deck may be moved to five different positions to provide a range of heights to cut the grass. This Troy-Bilt is equipped with a 1.5-gallon fuel tank. As of November 2010, this mower retails for £636.

Bronco Lawn Tractor

This traditional lawnmower has a 42-inch cutting deck with side discharge to shoot the clippings away from the mower. The deck also has anti-scalp wheels, which are small wheels on the deck that prevent it from rubbing against the yard when the mower is on an incline or hits a bump. The Bronco has an automatic transmission, and direction is controlled with a foot pedal. The mower is powered by a 20-horsepower Kohler Courage engine. Two options for this mower are a sun screen and a double bagger, which attaches at the rear. This mower retails for £779.

Range Rider Lawn Tractor

The Range Rider is Troy-Bilt's top lawn tractor. It offers a 42-inch dual blade deck for efficient cutting. The transmission is a hydrostatic automatic transmission, which is powered through hydraulic fluid and allows for a more compact transmission that offers more torque. This transmission also lets you set your speed at an infinite range between the low and high speed, unlike some tractors that offer just seven speed settings. The Range Rider uses a 20-horsepower Kohler Courage engine. Cruise control is an additional feature. The front axle is made of cast iron, which makes it more durable and capable of withstanding a lot of use. The Range Rider retails for £1,071.

Mustang Colt Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower

The Mustang Colt is Troy- Bilt's entry level zero turn lawnmower. This mower has a 42-inch deck with dual blades and a side discharge to cut through the grass. The deck has two adjustable anti-scalp wheels to protect the lawn and deck. Electric power take-off allows you to engage or disengage the blades when needed. The front axle is made of steel for durability. It is powered by a 20-horsepower Kohler Courage engine and can hold up to 3 gallons of fuel. The transmission is a dual hydrostatic transmission which drives each rear wheel. A rear bumper kit and lawn spreader may be purchased. This mower retails for £1,559.

Mustang Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower

The Mustang has a 50-inch deck with three blades. The wide deck uses four anti-scalp wheels for equipment and lawn protection. This mower is powered by a 25-horsepower Kohler Courage V-Twin engine. The V-Twin means that it has two pistons. It has dual hydrostatic transmission connected with each rear wheel. A 1-inch drive axle connects the engine and transmissions. The front axle is made of steel and freely rotates. The Mustang also has electric power take-off to control the blades. It can hold up to 3 gallons of fuel. Accessories that attach to this mower include the rear bumper kit and spreader. This mower is priced at £1,884.
