Rice paper is a thin delicate type of paper which is often used in crafts. You can also buy edible rice paper, which can be used to prepare Asian foods like summer rolls and spring rolls or for wrapping candies. Edible rice paper is made from rice flour. Rice paper is made from parts of the rice plant including rice straw. In Asian cultures, rice paper has been used for centuries for writing on and producing delicate decorative art work. You can purchase rice paper from art supply stores and use it to create interesting craft and design projects.

A tip for working with rice paper while baking cupcakes is to line the baking tray with edible rice paper.
