Bluetooth technology is more than the annoying, blinking light you see clamped to people's ears. Bluetooth is an advanced technology that uses wireless capabilities to send and receive data. Bluetooth technology is used for video games, computers and MP3 players, not just cellphones. Bluetooth transmitters are normally very small, but here's a list of the smallest:

Manhattan Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter

The Bluetooth stereo transmitter by Manhattan is a small device that plugs into any 3.5mm stereo jack. This transmitter is best for headphones and speakers. It offers one-touch pairing with all connectable output devices and it has a built-in rechargeable battery that allows up to an hour and a half of listening. It also has a built-in microphone.

Infinxx A2DP Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter

For all the iPhone and iPod users out there, the A2DP bluetooth transmitter promises to be the lightest and smallest transmitter available. Weighing in at 5 grams, it probably is. Since it is powered by the iPhone, you won't need batteries or a charging dock. You can enjoy stereo music through the transmitter as well.

iSkin Cerulean F1+TX Bluetooth Headset and Transmitter

At just over half an ounce, the iSkin Cerulean F1+TX is a lightweight transmitter for your iPhone, but it is also compatible with a PC. The headset acts as a remote and transmits audio up to 30 feet. It is 'plug-n-play,' so no software is necessary. The headset allows 10 hours of talk time and eight hours of music listening. Like the Infinxx, it also supports A2DP, which is all the rage. Be careful, however, because this model only works with a first-generation iPhone.
