Silly party games for adults

Updated November 21, 2016

Food and drink are usually the most important elements of a party, but adult parties are a lot more entertaining when livened up with amusing games. Silly games are also a great way to break the ice and encourage mingling among guests. Most party games require little preparation and are easy to play.

Belt Race Game

This humorous game requires a bit of both flexibility and ingenuity. Divide partygoers into pairs, and as suggested by Party Game Ideas, the game is most entertaining if there are several pairs of players participating. If there are a few different pairs, the game continues for a number of rounds. Take a large belt and place it in a circle on the floor. Two smaller belts tied together can also be used. Players step inside the belt with their backs to one another. The objective of the game is to see which couple can manoeuvre the belt up along their bodies and then over the head. For an easier game, players are allowed to use both hands to work the belt. For a slightly harder game, only one person is permitted to use his hands during the round. The most difficult round is when players have to move the belt without moving their hands. The pair that manages to get the belt over their heads first wins the game.

Find the Bubblegum

This silly game makes a bit of a mess, but it is sure to have guests laughing as they play. For each person playing, take a paper plate and put a piece of bubblegum on it. Completely cover the piece of bubblegum using whipped cream. The objective of the game is to have the partygoers feel around in the whipped cream until the bubblegum is found. As stated by Free Party Games, players are not allowed to use their hands during their search. The winner is the person who finds the gum first, chews it and then blows it into a large bubble.

Belly Balloon Break

This silly game, whose objective is to pop balloons, is sure to generate many chuckles with the guests. Divide the guests into couples and blow up at least 10 balloons for each pair of players. Set up a timer, and as stated by Divine Dinner Party, each couple must try to pop as many balloons as possible during the allotted amount of time. The challenge is that all balloons must be popped by squeezing it between the stomachs of the players. Hands, feet and other parts of the body are not allowed to be used. The couple who pops the most balloons wins the game.

Socks and Gloves Games

This game is funny to watch, challenging and, as suggested by Fun Party Games, works best with three to six players. Place a pile of socks on the floor and seat participants around the socks. Set a timer for two to four minutes and put a pair of gloves on each player's hands. The objective is to see which player can put the most socks onto one foot before the time runs out. The catch is not only that the players are wearing gloves, but they are also blindfolded. Although this can be played with one person at a time taking a turn, the game is most entertaining when all the players try at once to put on the socks. The winner is the person who has the most socks on his foot when the time runs out.
