Fred Flintstone

Fred Flintstone is an iconic television character that has amused generations. To create a Fred Flintstone costume, purchase an oversized orange T-shirt. Cut the sleeves off and make jagged edges along the bottom. Another option is to purchase orange fabric and create your own Fred Flintstone attire. Wear a blue tie around your neck. Wear a black wig or add black hairspray to your hair. If you have black hair, just part it in the middle and comb it so it's smooth. No shoes are necessary, as the Flinstones didn't wear shoes; however, if you'd like to wear them, brown clogs or slippers would work.

Steve Urkel

Everyone remembers the nerdy character Steve Urkel of the '90s television show, "Family Matters." To achieve Urkel's nerdy look, wear tight high-water jeans pulled up high on your waist. If you can't find high-waters, cuff the bottom of your jeans. Wear a tacky plaid button-down shirt tucked into your jeans. Don red suspenders and wear white socks pulled up high. Thick black-framed glasses complete the look. Urkel loves cheese, so if you want, carry around some cheese.

Bob the Builder

Bob the Builder is a favourite children's television character. If your little boy is a fan of the character, it is easy to create this costume. Have him wear a red and orange checkered shirt and a pair of denim overalls. A yellow construction hat is a must for this costume. Work boots are appropriate foot attire. Accessorise with a tool belt and safety goggles.

Peggy Bundy

Peggy Bundy is one of the most memorable house wife television characters. To achieve Peggy's look, you'll need to wear a red wig with fringe. Back comb the wig and spray it with hairspray to give it more volume to create Peggy's trademark hair. Black leggings and a tight animal print shirt are the ideal wardrobe. High heels are the perfect foot wear. Accessorise with a wide belt and a large, gaudy plastic necklace.
