Referred to by some people as the Euro Boiler, Ariston’s EuroCombi boiler comes in two models - the A/23 and the A/27. The timer is the controllable programme unit, sending instructions to the boiler to switch on and off. Operation instructions for both Euro Boiler model types are identical.

Setting the clock

Set the clock by first pressing the input time button. This has a clock icon above it. During British Summer Time (BST), press the button that indicates plus or minus one hour. This is next to the input time button. Press the “Day” button once if it is Monday, twice for Tuesday and so on. Press the “h” button to input the current hour of the day. Press the “m” button to input the number of minutes past the hour. Hold down either key for more than a couple of seconds to make the numbers auto-scroll. This is useful for inputting larger numbers more quickly. When you have entered the current time, release the input time button.

On and off times

Press the “Prog” button to input a programme. Press the button with a hand icon above it to select “on.” Then you can enter the time you want the boiler to come on, using the “h” and “m” keys as before. Press the button with a hand icon above it to select “off.” Enter the time you want the boiler to go off.

Repeating programmes

Press the input time button to set this programme to operate every day. Otherwise, press the “Day” button. You will see “1” on the display. This indicates Monday. If you wish the programme to run on Mondays, press the input time button. Otherwise, press the “Day” button again. You will see “2” on the display. This indicates Tuesday. If you wish the programme to run on Tuesdays, press the input time button. Otherwise, press the “Day” button again. Proceed in like manner for all seven days of the week.

Tips

If you wish the boiler to operate more than once a day -- for example, in the morning and in the evening -- input more than one programme, in the same way. The timer unit can store up to twenty instructions to come on or go off. To erase all programmes and reset the clock to zero, press the reset button. This is below the “Day” button. Take care not to inadvertently press this button.
