One of the most popular movies of all time, "The Wizard of Oz," features some very memorable characters, including the Tin Man. Fortunately, for the crafter, Tin Man crafts are among the easiest to make as his basic shape and colour can be found in everyday objects you likely have in your home already.

Paper Tin Man Crafts
Paper products are flexible enough to easily be fashioned into a replica of the "Wizard of Oz" Tin Man. An empty toilet tissue roll coloured silver can serve as the body of the Tin Man. Arms and feet can be crafted from construction paper, then given a little detail before being glued on. The head, hat and axe of the Tin Man can also be made from construction paper after sketching them out. A paper Tin Man can also be made by using several empty toilet tissue or paper towel rolls that have been cut to different length to represent the body, arms and legs. Simply attach arms and legs to the body with brass paper fasteners.
Tin Can Tin Man
For a more sturdy, lifelike replica of the Tin Man from the "Wizard of Oz," using clean, empty aluminium cans is the way to go. Use different size aluminium cans with the labels removed for the different parts of the body. For example, a large juice is ideal for the body while soup cans work best for the arms and legs. Join the cans together using craft wire inserted through drilled holes to form the Tin Man shape. This project is suitable for outdoors and can be hung with craft wire from a tree.
