If you've got some coffee left over from breakfast, save it to make sweet, refreshing frappes later on. Yours just might be as good as that ubiquitous Seattle-based coffee chain's. Serves one.

  1. 1

Prepare 160 ml (2/3 cup) strong coffee.

  2. 2

While the coffee is still warm, add 5 g (1 tsp) sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.

  3. 3

Add 80 ml (1/3 cup) milk and stir.

  4. 4

Place 10 ice cubes (1/2 cup) in blender and add sweetened coffee.

  5. 5

Turn the blender on and off quickly a few times to break up the ice.

  6. 6

Add 30 g (2 tbsp) vanilla ice cream. Turn blender on to medium and blend.

  7. 7

After the coffee and ice have blended, add another 10 ice cubes (1/2 cup).

  8. 8

Blend until smooth. If you want a thicker frappe, add a little more ice.

  9. 9

Pour into large glass and serve immediately.
