If you just bought a Logitech Z-5300 and can't set it up, it can be a frustrating experience. Thanks to colour coating, setting up your new speakers is an easy process. Just match the corresponding cords to the inputs and outputs. In no time, you will be enjoying the latest music on your computer. If you lost your manual, one can be downloaded to ease the process.

    Place the centre speaker in the centre of your monitor. If you have a CRT monitor, place the centre speaker on top of the monitor. Place the subwoofer on the ground beneath the centre speaker.

    Place your two satellite speakers on both sides of your monitor. They should be equal distance from each other. For example, place them 18 inches apart. Turn them at a 45-degree angle towards you.

    Place the other two satellite speakers behind you. They should be equal distance from each other. For example, place them 18 inches apart. Turn them at a 45-degree angle towards you.

    Connect the audio cords from each satellite speaker to the inputs in the subwoofer. Each satellite speaker has an individual audio cord input slot.

    Select the "2" option on the subwoofer for a two-channel system. Plug the green input wire from the subwoofer into the "line out" output on your computer.

    Select the "4" option on the subwoofer for a four-channel system. Plug the green input wire from the subwoofer the output labelled "Front" on your computer. Plug the black input wire from the subwoofer into the output labelled "Back" on your computer.

    Select the "5.1" option on the subwoofer for a six-channel system. Plug in the green input wires from the subwoofer to the outputs labelled "Front Left" and "Front Right" on your computer. Plug in the black input wires from the subwoofer into the outputs labelled "Back Left" and "Back Right" on your computer. Plug the red input wire from the subwoofer to the output labelled "Center" on your computer. Plug the yellow input wire from the subwoofer to the output labelled "Subwoofer" on your computer.

    Turn on the power to the subwoofer and you are ready to use your Logitech Z-5300.
