SolidWorks is a 3D CAD design application used by architects and engineers to create models for mechanical design. With SolidWorks you are able to make acutely detailed drawings starting with creating a 2D sketch based on geometric figures provided to you such as lines, arcs and splines. SolidWorks does have limited functions when working with JPEGs because the program was designed to build images from scratch, but you are still able to import the JPEGs into the application and do minimal editing, such as cropping the photo or adding additional colours to the image.
