The Amilo D-series is a PC laptop manufactured by Fujitsu. It is a budget computer but it comes with all the features common to other computers, such as a hard drive and RAM module. If you would like to perform upgrades on your computer, you need to open it up.
Power off your Fujitsu and unplug the AC power cable.
Close the LCD screen assembly and turn the computer upside down. Unplug the rectangular battery pack connected to a port on the bottom of the unit and set it aside.
Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove all screws on the bottom of the computer.
Turn the computer right-side up and open the display screen. Notice the rectangular-shaped plastic panel above that sits above the keyboard.
Insert the tip of your screwdriver in the seam where the panel connects to the body of the computer and pry up to pop it off.
Remove the two screws now exposed above the keyboard.
Lift the keyboard up from the top and lift it up. You will be able to see the ribbon cable running from the back of the keyboard to a port on the top of the computer.
Unplug the keyboard ribbon cable and set the keyboard aside.
Remove the screws on the metal panel on top of the computer and remove the panel to expose the motherboard.
