The word "Ping" describes a process of testing the speed of your Internet connection on any Internet-capable device. If you typically play PS3 games without an Internet connection, you do not need to worry about the speed of your connection. However, if you enjoy playing online multiplayer games or you frequently download items from the PlayStation store, you need a network with adequate speed. Determine if your network offers enough speed by using a Ping test.
