Headbands provide a quick and stylish way to keep your hair out of your face, but they can be hard to store. 2. 2

Measure and cut a piece of fabric as tall as the canister and as wide as the circumference of the canister.

  3. 3

Paint a layer of découpage medium over the outside of the canister with a foam brush.

  4. 4

Place the fabric on the outside of the canister. Smooth out any air bubbles from under the fabric with your hands. Let the canister dry for an hour.

  5. 5

Place your headbands on the canister as if the canister where your head.

Tips and warnings

  • Keep the lid off your homemade headband holder and use it to store hair ties, bows and other non-headband hair accessories.
