How to Make a Head Band Holder

Updated April 17, 2017

Headbands provide a quick and stylish way to keep your hair out of your face, but they can be hard to store. Headbands stored in a drawer can become tangled and any embellishments attached to the headbands, such as silk flowers, can become flattened. Make a simple way to keep your headbands organised with a homemade headband holder.

Remove the lid from the canister. Measure the height and circumference of the canister.

Measure and cut a piece of fabric as tall as the canister and as wide as the circumference of the canister.

Paint a layer of d├ęcoupage medium over the outside of the canister with a foam brush.

Place the fabric on the outside of the canister. Smooth out any air bubbles from under the fabric with your hands. Let the canister dry for an hour.

Place your headbands on the canister as if the canister where your head.

Keep the lid off your homemade headband holder and use it to store hair ties, bows and other non-headband hair accessories.
