Allow the Febreze to dry for approximately 30 minutes.
Sniff the mattress to see if you can still detect the mould odour. If you can, repeat the method. It is better to use two to three light coats of Febreze than to saturate the mattress.
Allow the mattress to dry completely before putting on sheets and other bedding.
- Clean any evidence of mould from your mattress before treating it with Febreze. Sweep the mattress with a broom to remove the mould, and then vacuum the mattress surface thoroughly. Use a heater, sunshine or fan to dry the mattress completely before attempting to remove the foul odour.
