A rag doll costume is adorable on little girls or women of any age. The classic rag doll calls to mind the Raggedy Ann dolls many of us played with as children. The make-up for the costume is simple but will let people immediately identify your costume. It is unmistakable, with the rosy cheeks, red nose and doll eyelashes, that you are dressed as a precious rag doll.

Instructions

  1. 1

Sweep blue eyeshadow onto the lids of your eyes, extending a little onto the brow bone.

  2. 2

Add false eyelashes to the top lashes only to create fullness on top.

  3. 3

Darken your eyebrows with a black eyeliner pencil and use the same pencil to create large, exaggerated lashes on the lower lashline. Draw the lashes out from your eye as long as you'd like them, until you get that doll-eyed look.

  4. 4

Highlight your cheeks with one round circle of red cream blush or face paint on each cheek. Make the circles as large as you like and as round as possible. To add cuteness, the blush can be heart shaped instead of circular.

  5. 5

Create a heart-shaped lip using the red lipstick The bow of your mouth will be the top of the heart. Bring the red lipstick to a point at the bottom of your lips.

  6. 6

Add stitches to your face for a more realistic rag doll look by taking the black eyeliner pencil and drawing a couple of lines on your face in different places. Make small marks across the lines to look like fabric stitching. Keep the lines that form the stitching very close together and the same distance from each other so that your stitches don't look like scars. Fabric stitching is very even and straight, so mimic that for this look.

  7. 7

Redden your nose with the blush or red paint. Make a triangle on the tip of your nose and fill it in with the red colour.
