Microsoft released the first version of Outlook in January 1997; since then, Microsoft has updated the program seven times with the latest version, Outlook 2011, released in October 2010. Open a blank e-mail by clicking "New" at the top of the screen.
Open the "File" menu and select "Page Setup." View the page set-up options for the side, top and bottom margins.
Change the margin settings to your liking. You can do this by typing in the measurement you want or by using the up and down arrows to make the margins bigger or smaller.
Click "OK" to confirm the settings and save them to be used on all future e-mails.
