How to Set Page Width in Outlook

Updated April 17, 2017

Microsoft released the first version of Outlook in January 1997; since then, Microsoft has updated the program seven times with the latest version, Outlook 2011, released in October 2010. Many of these version maintained similar features, with improvements. However, different users demand different settings from their computers and e-mail programs. If you're an Outlook 2007 user and want to change the page width, you'll be pleased to know that it's simple to change the margins, giving you huge control over how much is displayed on your screen.

Open a blank e-mail by clicking "New" at the top of the screen.

Open the "File" menu and select "Page Setup." View the page set-up options for the side, top and bottom margins.

Change the margin settings to your liking. You can do this by typing in the measurement you want or by using the up and down arrows to make the margins bigger or smaller.

Click "OK" to confirm the settings and save them to be used on all future e-mails.
